STANDWords services are provided by top British graduates with tutoring experience in fields as diverse as IB English, Social Policy, English Law and International Relations.

Through one on one Skype sessions, detailed essay feedback forms and TrackChange edits, we help you improve where you feel weakest. Our target areas usually range from grammar and vocabulary to research skills and structure.

Our Story

​

STANDWords’ was born in the windy seaside town of St Andrews in Scotland, the brainchild of one of the University’s alumni, Mairi-Christine Oliver. Her proofreading, editing and coaching were originally word-of-mouth services provided to fellow students and local schoolies. However, as the number of student-customers grew, it became necessary to formalise the network and thus our little start-up came to be.

STUDENTS:

We do not work to grade targets but will help you understand and capitalise on your institution’s grading criteria. The aim is to improve your overall performance and confidence as a writer.



We will never encourage or condone academic misconduct or plagiarism, the essays we help you work on will ALWAYS be your own.
